INX International Ink Co. is now offering inks compatible with the MetalFX process.
MetalFX is an award-winning technology that has opened up a whole new color spectrum for printers and designers. Thousands of striking metallic colors are created by overprinting CMYK values onto the MetalFX Base silver ink. The color specification is all controlled through the MetalFX software and swatch books.
The process inks used for MetalFX have clearly defined values so manufacturers have the ability to produce inks compatible with the metallic color specification system.
“Here at INX, we believe that the business of ink isn’t only about ink,” said Chris Bonk, vice president, sheetfed technical director. “It’s about print jobs, substrates, processes and equipment. As such, it is important for us to keep up with the latest innovations, and MetalFX fits right in line with this strategy. The metallic colors and effects created by MetalFX are ground-breaking and the technology poses many fascinating opportunities for printers.”
