Wilen Direct, a leading direct mail marketing company, is expanding its capacity to deliver timely, relevant and engaging communications through the adoption of the new KODAK Prosper 6000C Press. Wilen expects the Prosper 6000C Press to satisfy increasing demand for quick turnaround and high-quality four-color variable direct mail solutions across various formats and substrates. It will also provide Wilen’s clients with a more efficient page inventory and a wider array of size and substrate options at record speeds and at much higher quality.
The Prosper 6000C Press can produce high-gloss targeted direct mail pieces for an average of 30 percent less than using electro-photographic (toner-based) systems. These economics deliver Wilen’s clients greater return on marketing investment, as well as improved efficiencies in high-volume production runs of quality mail pieces.
In addition to the KODAK Prosper 6000C Press, Wilen agreed to purchase a KODAK NexPress SX3900 Digital Production Color Press to augment its existing line of digital presses, which includes a previously-installed KODAK Prosper 5000Xli. Kodak’s technology has enabled Wilen Direct to become a global leader in high-volume, high-quality variable direct mail production.
Kodak’s expanded engagement with Wilen was part of a strong first quarter for Kodak’s Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division, which included increased market penetration and global adoption of Kodak’s Prosper Press Portfolio.
