The installation of six new KODAK PROSPER S20 Imprinting Heads for American Litho has expanded the printer’s hybrid digital printing offerings, giving it the ability to further personalize marketing materials for its customer base. The Carol Stream, IL-based print service provider specializes in direct marketing through analytics, targeted direct mail and packaging.
The six new KODAK PROSPER S20 Imprinting Heads will help American Litho grow its existing platform, which included multiple black-and-white KODAK VERSAMARK Imprinting Heads, to now leverage a 4-color digital inkjet process to creatively design more diverse client-centric direct mail formats and boost ad revenues.
The inkjet systems offer greater flexibility and improved integration, as they can be mounted on all the web presses across the printer’s robust platform as well as in its mailing service lettershop. The additional hybrid digital printing solutions have enabled new design capabilities that have increased response rates and provided more highly-targeted variable data personalization options for American Litho’s customers.
Now able to design more effective materials, the company has seen the number of mailings increase to over half a billion pieces this year to match demand.
“Our success in a direct marketing business that’s always evolving is a direct result of our ability to offer more personalization options for our customers,” said Michael Fontana, president, American Litho. “Investing in the KODAK PROSPER S20 Imprinting Heads has given our operation the speed and flexibility to be more competitive than ever, but it’s the customization capabilities that make us an attractive option to customers looking to take advantage of more valuable targeted advertising opportunities.”
