DuPont Ink Jet and China Textile Institute announced that China Textile Institute has adopted DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles.
DuPont Artistri is a fully integrated, production-capable, digital textile printing solution for printed textiles, apparel, home furnishings, gaming, flag and banner and industrial applications. The system has three main components: DuPont Artistri software, DuPont Artistri ink, and the DuPont Artistri 2020 printer.
China Textile Institute is a government-funded textile R&D institution. Its main role is to provide R&D support to small- and medium-size textile companies in Taiwan in all areas of textile technology and selected manufacturing processes.
“China Textile Institute is actively implementing and improving on new technology which will enhance the competitiveness of textile manufacturing activity in Taiwan,” said Thomas Huang, managing director. “The implementation of the DuPont digital textile printing solution will enable Taiwanese textile printing mills, fashion designers and those involved in the supply value chain to create new demand, shorten order lead time and ultimately strengthen our competitive advantage in the global textile market place.”
“We are really excited about the partnership with China Textile Institute and their mission to educate and expand the use of digital printing technologies for textiles,” said Steve Hurff, global sales and service manager, DuPont Ink Jet. “The DuPont Artistri 2020 printer is state of the art, utilizing four ink chemistries and the latest technologies in digital printhead design enabling production printing on fabrics ranging from polyesters to cottons to nylon/Lycra.”
DuPont Artistri ink meets industry standard fastness requirements and is available in a wide array of colors covering the four major textile chemistries: acid dye, reactive dye, disperse dye and pigment ink.
