Rootree (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) is doubling its print capacity with the addition of a second HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press for flexible packaging.
Rootree’s compostable pouches use films which are 100% home-compostable. The next move in the innovation of fully compostable pouches is to continue with the development and certification of home-compostable inks and adhesives.
Rootree, formerly known as Swiss Pack, was the first Canadian owner of the HP Indigo 20000, as well as the owner of the first Pack Ready Laminator in North America.
“Rootree has made a commitment in the industry to be the most environmentally conscious packaging company in the world by addressing the full packaging lifecycle,” said Philippe St-Cyr, Rootree GM.
