The new HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver, now commercially available, delivers digitally printed metallic effects across a wide color gamut.
"We are getting excellent results printing fine type and vignettes in silver and can produce virtually any metallic color by printing process colors over the silver,” said Angelo Quagliata, VP sales at Precision Label. “Digitally printed silver ink is a big plus for our customers who want digital printing benefits without compromising on metallic effects, especially cosmetics companies that need a higher-end look.”
The HP Indigo 6900, installed recently at Precision’s new $7.5 million, 40,000 square foot facility in Hauppauge, on Long Island, NY.
Since installing its first HP Indigo in 2012, Precision’s business has grown to some 40% digital. The HP Indigo 6900, replacing an HP Indigo WS6000, is operating alongside its HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press.
“As Precision continues to grow and prove ourselves as a leader in the labels and packaging industry, we will continue to re-invest in the company with state-of-the-art technology,” added Quagliata. “Digitally printed metallic colors also support our business strategy of delivering high quality with fast turnaround, while reducing costs and use of metalized materials."
