In 2019, HP Inc. reported net revenue of $58.8 billion, up 0.5% from the prior-year period. HP generated $4.7 billion in net cash provided by operating activities and $4 billion of free cash flow in fiscal 2019.
“2019 marks our third consecutive year of revenue, non-GAAP operating profit and non-GAAP earnings growth, with non-GAAP EPS up 11% and strong free cash flow of $4 billion,” said Enrique Lores, president and CEO, HP Inc. “We delivered an excellent Q4, with 11% non-GAAP EPS growth. Our strategy is working, and we are confident in our business heading into FY20.”
The company is currently involved in a hostile takeover attempt by Xerox, one that remains fluid.
HP designs its own inks, which are primarily water-based, as well as doing some manufacturing. In August 2019, HP’s PageWide water-based corrugated packaging inks received UL ECOLOGO Certification for meeting printing inks sustainability standard. In October 2019, the company announced that it is investing $200 million over five or more years to develop water-based ink technologies for printing digitally on corrugated packaging and textiles.
“Investing in water-based solutions that meet market needs and the increasing sustainability requirements of graphics customers is expected to propel business growth for HP,” said Santi Morera, GM and global head of graphics solutions, HP Inc. “We will be dedicating resources toward continued innovation and industry disruption to accelerate safer, simpler and more sustainable water-based printing technologies that meet the quality, performance and economics needed by these markets.”
