Xenon Corporation announces the availability of a 6- inch (1.5 meter) Pulsed UV Linear Lamp system for industrial applications. The LH-8150 was developed for large area UV curing and sintering in roll-to-roll or web-based processes and designed specifically for the display and printed electronics markets.
This new product provides a superior alternative to mercury-based UV lamps that typically generate high heat, have long turn on times and are unable to deliver high peak energy. In contrast, the LH-8150 incorporates the well-known advantages of high energy pulsed light, including high peak energy and low heat, making it the ideal choice for heat sensitive substrates and processes. The high peak power ensures deeper penetration and complete cures.
The LH-8150 is designed with two 30-inch L-Shaped lamps and an elliptical reflector for unprecedented uniformity and performance. It includes Xenon’s unique CoolCureXL pulsed light feature, capable of rapid and complete cures at low temperature as well as the patented DoubleStrike technology for reliable operation. Typically the LH-8150 provides pulsed energy of 38.8 joules/pulse at a 100Hz rate, making it a 3.9KW solution for demanding display applications. This 60" system is a significant improvement over mercury-based alternatives and is finding rapid acceptance amongst display makers and their machine builders.
