At FESPA 2015, Fujifilm showcased its mid-range and high-end printing platforms, including the Inca Onset R40i platform, a cost-effective wide format flatbed printer, as well as Acuity F, Acuity Advance Select UV and Acuity LED 1600 printers.
Also at FESPA 2015, Fujifilm highlighted its new Uvijet OW UV ink, designed for a wider range of rigid and flexible plastic substrates. Uvijet OW inks deliver a high gloss finish and cure effectively at the fastest Onset print modes. The Uvijet KV ink, designed for the Acuity Advance Select, offers outstanding elongation properties of up to 1000% when heat formed.
The Uvijet UV range for wide format print applications was honored recently when it received the Nordic Ecolabel certification, which helps consumers identify environmentally friendly products. Fujifilm Uvijet inks are manufactured at the Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems (FSIS) manufacturing facility for screen and UV wide format ink in Broadstairs, UK.
Fujifilm Uvijet inks that carry the Nordic Ecolabel trademark include Uvijet KI, KV, OZ, OB, OL, OW, QN, WH, WI and LL. Uvijet OB, OZ, OL and OW formulations have been developed for use with the Inca Onset range of printers. The Uvijet KI and KV inks are designed for Fujifilm’s Acuity flatbed range. Uvijet WH and WI inks have been created for the Acuity F. Uvijet QN inks are designed for Uvistar printers, and the Uvijet LL range for the Acuity LED 1600.
“The Nordic Ecolabel certification is another testimony to how Fujifilm’s state-of-the-art UV inkjet technologies support wide format printers in their efforts to minimize their environmental footprint and achieve best practice in sustainable print production,” said Carole Noutary, technical manager R&D at Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems.
