The Metro New York Printing Ink Association (MNYPIA) held its annual golf outing at the Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough, NJ. Among the highlights from this year's event was the naming of the low net scoring award to honor Maurice Carruthers of Sun Chemical Performance Pigments, a long time industry veteran.
In presenting the trophy, John Jilek Sr. of Ink Solutions said that this was well deserved. "I do not know of anyone in our industry that can say a bad thing about Maurice Carruthers,” Mr. Jilek said.

Dan Shevkun of Superior Printing Ink, who chairs the MNYPIA Golf Outing said, "Maurice is one of a kind. And it is a fitting tribute to him that the club will now present this award each year to honor his dedication to our industry, his colleagues and his love for the game of golf."

The winner of the Maurice Carruthers Award for low net scoring at the MNYPIA's 2013 Annual Golf Outing was Tom Gwizdalski of Resolute Oil, who received the trophy from Mr. Carruthers.

Further information about the ink club can be obtained from its web site, www.mnypia.org.
