Chromatic Technologies Inc. (CTI) is a specialty inks and coatings company providing creative solutions for consumer packaging. CTI specializes in thermochromic ink (temperature), photochromic ink (UV light/sunlight sensitive), glow in the dark ink, thermochromic plastic ink and security ink.
“We have an extensive portfolio of offerings ranging from thermochromic, photochromic, security and specialty ink systems, all with the goal of differentiating our customer’s products on shelf,” said Melanie Edwards, manager of strategic sales initiatives, Chromatic Technologies Inc.
CTI was founded by Lyle Small in 1993 after graduating from Cornell University. “Seeing the potential of incorporating color-changing capabilities into primary packaging, Lyle devoted his time developing press-friendly ink systems with thermochromic and photochromic properties,” said Ms. Edwards.
“Since then, resources have been devoted to developing new-to-market ink and coating offerings, setting CTI on course to be the leading supplier in innovative ink systems to the consumer packaging market.”
CTI strives to provide the highest level of customer service by offering innovative products and technical expertise.
“Unlike our competition, CTI focuses our efforts on delivering new innovations to the market and providing an all-encompassing service platform,” Ms. Edwards continued. “Not only do we reinvest our earnings into inventing new products, we have an in-house design group devoted to working with our customers to incorporate our specialty ink systems in the most effective way possible. When applied successfully, our inks help drive home target messaging, increase market share and build brand loyalty for repeat purchases. Additionally, CTI’s inks perform superbly on high-speed canning lines, critical to today’s production lines.”
CTI aims to set itself apart from the competition by investing heavily in R&D and expanding into new markets.
“CTI has an unyielding drive to be the leading manufacturer of specialty inks and coatings in the market,” said Ms. Edwards. “It is that drive and focus that keeps us always looking for new trends in the market and finding solutions to meet our customer’s needs. We continue to expand our workforce in order to continue to offer new and innovative solutions, while delivering our message to converters and brands throughout the globe. We also maintain a strong commitment to R&D, which is a key to our position in the marketplace.”
