Sun Chemical Performance Pigments announces that Peter Krummeck has joined the organization as director of sales – international effective Dec. 1, 2005. In this role, Mr. Krummeck will be responsible for all sales and sales related activities outside of North America for coatings, inks, plastics and specialties markets. He will be based in Wavre, Belgium in the Performance Pigments international operations headquarters and sales office.
A native of Germany, Mr. Krummeck holds a master’s degree in biology from the Technical University of Darmstadt and has studied law at the University of Mainz. He has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the resins and pharmaceutical chemicals areas and has worked for ICI/Zeneca, Union Camp and Arizona Chemicals during his career. Most recently, he held the position of European sales manager, resins for Arizona Chemicals, with special emphasis in the ink and adhesives industries.
“Peter’s broad experience in sales, coupled with his knowledge of the European pigments consuming markets, make him uniquely qualified to lead our sales effort in the international markets,” said Brian Leen, corporate vice president and general manager, Performance Pigments. “I am confident in his ability to lead our international team as we continue to grow our international presence and provide tailor-made solutions to the coatings, inks, plastics and specialties markets.”
Mr. Krummeck replaces Chris Weighill, who transitioned into his new role vice president and general manager, merchant ink international, earlier this year.
