DuPont Ink Jet has introduced a new line of colorfast digital textile inks to the outdoor fabric, flag and banner markets.
DuPont Artistri Solar Brite ink has been specifically designed to work on SolarMax fabric with the DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles system. This combination gives sharp images with excellent penetration required by these markets.
“The staying power of our inks and our new digital printing system represent a true transformation for the industry,” said Joseph Gutosky, DuPont Ink Jet business development manager. “The combination of our DuPont Artistri Solar Brite ink and the Artistri system will enable flag and banner manufacturers to achieve high quality, economical short run and customized production capability, making them much more competitive in markets they serve.”
Specially formulated using DuPont proprietary ink technology, DuPont Artistri Solar Brite ink and pretreatment provide superior UV resistance, durability and exceptional color penetration, making it ideal for the flag and outdoor fabric markets. Artistri Solar Brite ink is available in an eight-color set.
The DuPont Artistri system is the first fully integrated, production-capable, digital printing solution for the textile industry. The system complements traditional screen-printing by handling short production runs, opening up new product and market opportunities and enhancing operations for printers in the flag and banner industry.
From a customer care perspective, the advantages of the DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles system make it possible to accept smaller jobs, print customized limited-edition products and shorten order-to-delivery cycles. Important to printers is the capability to produce only what is required. Reduced inventory and excess fabric stock costs mean cost savings and healthier bottom line.
DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles consists of three components: the DuPont Artistri 2020 printer, DuPont Artistri ink and DuPont Artistri software. The Artistri 2020 enables short- to medium-run digital production printing of fabrics up to 1.8 meters wide. Additionally, the Artistri 2020 printer sets a new industry standard for print speed, offering several print modes with speeds exceeding 50 square meters per hour to allow fast production of digital designs.
