INX International Ink Co., Elk Grove Village, IL, a subsidiary of Sakata INX, announced May 19 that it is expanding its European presence with the acquisition of Holliday Encres, Bretigny-Sur-Orge, France, and will begin servicing customers under the INX International France name.
The announcement signals stepped-up support for hundreds of the firm’s customers throughout Europe and an infusion of financial as well as product development, production, distribution and technical capabilities. As part of the Sakata INX worldwide operations, INX France brings access to world-class technology and global R&D collaboration to European customers now served by INX locally.
“Current and future INX France (Holliday Encres) customers now have the global resources of an $825 million company behind them,” said Hiroshi Ota, INX International Ink Co. chairman and managing director of Sakata INX. Mr. Ota and Rick Clendenning, president and CEO of INX International Ink Co., will help direct INX operations in Europe.
“Our worldwide network will enable us to leverage the current strengths of Holliday Encres, and to quickly enhance operations – with production efficiencies, quality systems, product development or other capabilities when and where such steps can improve our offerings to them,” said Mr. Clendenning.
“We are proud to serve some of the foremost printing and packaging companies in France and throughout Europe,” added Antoine de Labeau, managing director of Holliday Encres, who will continue in that role with INX France. “And we are pleased to be moving forward with not only the added resources of the Sakata INX Group, but its strong commitment to our growth and progress.”
Mr. de Labeau will report to INX France president Antonio Saez, who also serves as president and managing director of Sakata INX Espana, SA. Mr. Saez cited new product development and working closely with customers to maximize use of the latest packaging and print-production technologies as being among INX France’s priorities.
“The pace of innovation in flexible packaging, for example, has increased rapidly in recent years,” said Mr. Ota. “Our extensive experience and involvement with packaging producers worldwide can help us to more effectively contribute ideas, as well as respond to emerging customer needs.”
