INX International Ink Company has received Orion Lighting and Energy Services’ Environmental Stewardship Award for installing Orion Lighting’s environmentally-friendly Illuminator lighting fixtures at its Edwardsville, KS and Milwaukee, WI facilities.
Company officials said that by installing this lighting, the company will conserve 192,688 kilowatts per year. That is the equivalent of saving 35 acres of trees, removing 27 cars from the road or saving 17,516 gallons of gasoline annually.
“We’re helping the environment, lowering our costs, increasing our lighting and improving our employees’ workspace, all at the same time,” said Lance Rakow, general manager, INX of Milwaukee.
Orion’s Illuminator recently received Wisconsin’s Spirit of Ecology Award.
“Everyone here is delighted with the improvement to the workplace environment and the positive environmental impact,” said John Hrdlink, vice president of field operations, INX International. “We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response from our employees coupled with great bottom line results.”
