Sun Chemical employees have generously donated more than $45,000 to the Bergen County United Way’s Community Response Fund, which was set up to aid victims of the Sept. 11 tragedy. Sun Chemical has agreed to match that sum dollar for dollar, for a total of more than $91,000 to date. In addition Sun Chemical’s parent company, Dainippon Ink & Chemicals, Inc. (DIC), has donated $300,000 to the American Red Cross.
“The response we got has just been outstanding,” said Paul Barton, vice president of human resources at Sun Chemical. “It has been a very successful effort. I have to say that this one really came from employees, really stepping up to offer their help and assistance.”
