Komori America announced that The Marek Group, a leader in the field of sales effectiveness and marketing execution services, has invested in the company’s first Komori press, an eight-color Lithrone G40 advance perfector (GL840P advance) with LED-UV.
The family-owned company, with headquarters in Waukesha, WI and three additional locations, offers an array of services that provide clients with a single solution for sales support and marketing campaign execution.
The company contributes part of its success to following a deliberate CapEx process that focuses on the investments needed to stay current with a portfolio that includes print, promotions, mail, incentives, kitting, fulfillment and sales enablement technology.
Recognizing it was time for its pressroom to be modernized, The Marek Group team began to search for a press that would offer the automation, efficiencies and quick makereadies needed to handle the growing volume of bold, eye-catching print solutions the company produces.
“In making the decision to purchase the GL840P advance, I connected with several industry peers that had Komori presses and learned they were raving fans of not only the presses but of Komori as a company,” said Fuzzy Marek, CEO, The Marek Group.
“The advanced automation for maximum productivity and the resulting reduction of waste were all important because of the volume of production going on in our facility,” Marek noted. “We knew we wanted to go LED-UV to solve the requirement of reduced lead times from our clients. Coming off press fully cured and ready for finishing, along with the ability to offer more specialty applications and synthetic substrates, puts us in a strong position to best support the long-term needs of our clients.”
The addition of LED-UV to the GL840P advance will make it possible for output to go straight to fulfillment after printing, and The Marek Group is looking forward to the fact that it will open new market opportunities for expanding offerings in creative packaging, signage, synthetics and other unique printed materials with embellishments that create visual and tactile effects.
