Palamides GmbH and Popp Maschinenbau GmbH, a mechanical engineering company known for innovating packaging and paper solutions will be showcasing their collect-to-box (CTB) solution at a joint stand at drupa 2024, May 28- June 2 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The CTB solution is designed to enhance post press operations by streamlining print job deliveries. It caters to a range of production requirements, emphasizing stacking efficiency, scalability, and versatility for simple and complex productions.
“The collaboration between palamides and Popp Maschinenbau marks an important step in improving print production processes. The CTB solution aims to optimize operations and increase flexibility in post press production,” said palamides managing director Stefano Palamides.
At the core of the CTB is a patented band-gripper system that addresses existing limitations in gripping systems. It enables a seamless handling of stacked products within boxes and eliminates the need for manual adjustments during processing. The prototype also offers versatility in integration with different product lines by integrating the complete CTB toolbox.
“We’re dedicated to delivering practical solutions that enhance print and packaging workflows,” said Popp Maschinebau’s head of postpress Tony Wolf. “Our collaboration with palamides aims to present solutions focused on innovation and customer-centricity.”
Palamides and Popp Maschinenbau will be located at Hall 6 /F22 (palamides) and Hall 6/F24 (Popp Maschinenbau) at drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany May 28- June 2.
