Kyocera Nixka Inkjet Systems (KNIS) has released the LENIX 1200 water-based inkjet printbar with flexible integration, processing, and uses.
The LENIX 1200 is equip with Kyocera’s KJ4B EX 12000 piezo electric inkjet printhead with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and a drop size from 2 to 4 pl. It runs at 1200 x 1200 dpi for 100 m/min or 1200 x 600 dpi for 200 m/min. The engine also uses a fluid recirculation process and an automated cleaning station for a maximized availability rate.
The printbar is compatible with a wide variety of inks, films, or other non-porous substrates. One printbar can print one color before upgrading with additional engines for increased printing width or switch to full color. Currently three models exist representing seven version from a 216mm to an 866mm printing width. LENIX 1200 comes with proprietary RIP printing either fixed or variable data which can be pre ripped or ripped in real time.
The LENIX 1200 can be added to existing equipment to address fixed or variable data or can be used at the core print engine for a new system. Being a water-based inkjet system, the LENIX 1200 does not use any UV or solvent component, making it an eco-friendly printer that can help reduce a factory’s the carbon footprint.
