Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems has launched its new digital cutting platform the Kongsberg Ultimate, which hope to change the corrugated production industry.
Innovative drive technology allows for an acceleration rate of up to 2.74G and a cutting speed of 168 meters per minute. The Kongsberg Ultimate address challenges corrugated converters face in continuous high volume multi-batch production.
“Engineered with our deep understanding of corrugated and display converters’ need for precision, the Kongsberg Ultimate promises to refine standards and usher in a new era of productivity and innovation, delivering a fast return on investment for converters of corrugated board. Enhancing operations and providing a significant competitive advantage, the platform sets a new industry benchmark as is set to drive the future of corrugated production for years to come,” said president and CEO Stuart Fox.
The Kongsberg Ultimate features a new drive and beam design that allows for significant productively gains and return on investment for uses. The carbon fiber bean is designed to ensure stiffness and consistently apply 50kg downforce. A tool head camera furthers precision, making all cuts align perfectly to meet the highest industry standards.
“With corrugated converters around the world under increasing pressure to produce better, faster, safer and more efficiently to meet demands of the global market, we have underlined our commitment to deliver a solution that has been engineered for precision and built for productivity,” Fox added.
With Kongsberg SmartzoneTM, Kongsberg Ultimate has a safety solution that is proximity-driven dual-zone system that has intuitive LED lighting to clearly relay machine status. Also included are self-diagnostic and remote operator alerts for higher uptime and maximized utilization.
“We have worked creatively to ensure that our future is built upon manufacturing equipment that our customers and team can be proud of,” Fox commented. “The Kongsberg Ultimate is not just an evolution but a leap forward in corrugated production technology and a commitment to the corrugated industry for the future.”
With an intutuive IPC 3.0 interface and touchscreen, The Kongsberg Ultimate provides an accessible user experience. It also incorporates recycled and other materials for less environmental impact.
“This remarkable achievement reaffirms Kongsberg PCS’s position as an industry leader and underlines our dedication to delivering innovations that empower businesses to thrive in an ever-evolving marketplace,” Fox concluded.
