Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America recently previewed its new BP-1200S 6-color press that uses Color-Logic and Touch7 software for special effects and metallic embellishments.
At Printing United, Sharp used Color-Logic software with silver toner and CMYK to create samples of metallics on convectional stocks. Sharp also made similar embellishments on Ecofoil metallic stock using white toner, CMYK and Color-Logic software.
Color-Logic director of sales and marketing Mark Geeves said, “Color-Logic is pleased to have partnered with Sharp in their BS-1200S Printing United Expo preview, and we are particularly gratified that Sharp elected to print live at the show. With Color-Logic, printers can be equally confident when dealing with clients and their agencies.”
Sharp provided swatch books for attendees using Touch7, a distribution of Color-Logic. Swatch books were made with a single press pass using the Touch7 Neon Color System to yield 380 fluorescent and pastel colors.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Color-Logic team to help bring the knowledge and value-added capabilities Color-Logic is known for to our customers,” said Sharp senior manager of product planning and marketing production Kent J. Villarreal. “Their intuitive tools, matched with our 6-color production press powered by Fiery, is a combination that promises to improve profit margins beyond traditional 4-color only models.”
