Leading Chinese platemaker Sinwa Printech recently integrated a XSYS ThermoFlexX Catena-WDLS washer, dryer, light finisher, and stacker unit to enhance the workflow and quality of its flexo plates.
Sinwa was the first Chinese trade shop to use CDI plate imager technology and added Flint Group’s nyloflex NExT Exposure to provide for the label and packaging industries.
The new installation builds on Sinwa’s relationship with Flint Group (now XSYS) streamlines the platemaking workflow, minimizing the need for intervention and enabling low waste fully optimized plate production. A loaded plate operates seamlessly and emerges fully finished for cutting or dispatch without the need for additional operator involvement.
Sinwa president Michael Lin said, “since the installation process a few months ago, the Catena-WDLS has performed exceptionally well, proving high consistency and stability. The new system has been instrumental in simplifying our platemaking process. Improving standardization levels, raising quality consistency, and boosting overall efficiency.”
“The operators quickly become comfortable with the new integration system. They no longer need to monitor each process step closely or transport plates from one unit to the next. They also appreciate the cleaner enclosed environment and efficient extraction,” added Lin.
“XSYS is very proud to partner with Sinwa, an innovation leader, as we pave the way in automated flexo platemaking. In this era of process digitalization, XSYS enables platemakers to transition from mechanization to full automation, helping to reduce costs, deliver highest quality, and improve stability,” said XSYS China general manager QiHong-Magenta Zheng.
Sinwa Shanghai was founded in 2000 and has since then expanded, establishing facilities in multiple cities across the globe.
