The National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) 2023 Summer Course will be held July 17-21 at the Sonoco Institute at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Registration is now open.
This course, the only one of its type, is an exceptional opportunity to learn the fundamental concepts regarding printing ink formulation and on press performance. Every year, this week-long course is reviewed and revised by printing ink industry experts.
This year will feature a session in which registrants will construct a water-based flexo ink focusing on the key components and their physical/chemical properties. This onsite, developed ink will be used on press in the Sonoco Institute – a truly “hands-on” learning experience.
Also new for this year is expanded coverage of digital ink formulation, press side troubleshooting and a session on printing ink testing. This course is an excellent employee training choice for new-hires or employees moving into different areas of responsibility (technical sales – ink and supplier, printing, administration, formulator, in-plant, etc.) in any graphic arts-related job.
For more information, contact George Fuchs, NAPIM’s director – regulatory affairs and technology, at (864) 884-8095 of GFuchs@kellencompany.com.
