ProAmpac announced their Elsham, UK facility received the Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard (BRCGS) accreditation, the highest level possible awarded to those companies demonstrating compliance in hazard and risk management, hygiene, product safety and quality.
The BRCGS is the first to be recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). By assisting manufacturing sites in providing products that are assured of quality, legally compliant, and authentic, the standard has become the industry benchmark for producers of all packaging applications.
ProAmpac received the highest AA+ rating during an unannounced audit of the Elsham site. In order to achieve the AA+ rating, the Packaging Materials Standard Issue 6, set up by the BRCGS governing body, must be adhered to and witnessed by an on-site auditor during the site visit.
“The employees at our facility prepare the site each day as if there was an audit,” Sean Conlin, operations director at ProAmpac Elsham, said. “Each employee knows their given assignment and performs it every day. Our daily actions helped us achieve the highest AA+ accreditation, which in turn provides value to our customers.”
