ProAmpac opens PACK EXPO 2022 at Booth S-3582, emphasizing its ProActive Recyclable packaging innovations, along with a line of fresh food to-go packaging for both hot and cold applications. PACK EXPO takes place at Chicago’s McCormick Place from Oct. 23-26.
“We first introduced ProActive Sustainability at 2018’s PACK EXPO in Chicago, and we are thrilled to be back,” said Adam Grose, chief commercial officer for ProAmpac. “Since the original launch of ProActive Sustainability, ProAmpac has expanded our line of sustainable packaging products, including our ProActive Recyclable solutions.
ProAmpac continues to build on its patented, high-performance, mono-material ProActive Recyclable® R-2000 Series. These films are available in rollstock or premade pouches and offer very high clarity, high drop resistance, excellent stiffness, and dimpling resistance for a premium shelf appearance. Designed to be a drop-in replacement for conventional multi-material laminates, R-2000’s superior heat resistance allows for optimal speeds, a wide operating window, and high efficiencies on filling lines. ProActive Recyclable products include flexible packaging designed for polyethylene (store drop-off) recycle streams.
In addition to ProActive Recyclable, ProAmpac’s ProActive Sustainability offers flexible packaging in three other product groups:
• ProActive PCR incorporates post-consumer recycled (PCR) content to the package to meet brand sustainability goals.
• ProActive Renewable is packaging that incorporates bio-based resins.
• ProActive Compostable packaging degrades in a biologically active compost environment.
From deli sandwiches to hot wraps, ProAmpac’s fresh food to-go suite of products is designed for sustainability and built for performance. With a deep understanding of retailers’ commitments to sustainable packaging, ProAmpac strives to remove avoidable packaging and use the least amount of materials possible.
The modern format keeps food fresh and offers an elevated appearance in either a hot cabinet or chiller. Also, by weight, the largest component of ProAmpac’s fresh food to-go packaging is paperboard and paper sourced from sustainable certified forests, which is widely recyclable in fiber streams.
“ProAmpac’s fresh food to-go packaging has been used in the UK and Europe fresh food market for decades. We are pleased to bring these products to North America. I will be presenting on how fresh food to-go packaging can support the circular economy on the Innovation Stage, Wednesday, October 26th at noon,” said Nathan Klettlinger director of global marketing for ProAmpac.
