The first edition of the Industrial Print Integration conference marks the long-awaited return of physical industry meetings. Organized by the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association (ESMA), the event takes place May 18-19, 2022 at Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf-Neuss. Representatives of all industry sectors are welcome to learn and discuss what screen, inkjet and other printing technologies can mean for the production processes of today and tomorrow.
IPI 2022 features a total of 50 presentations during two days on parallel tracks. Each morning the conference opens with keynote speeches which show the potential of printing in modern market applications.
Stijn Gillissen of Henkel will present the latest smart solutions enabled by printed electronics. Dr. Yinghuan Kuang from the research center Imec will talk about the perovskite coating design for solar cells and its upscaling in the industry. Two keynotes, delivered by Kuka and FPT Robotik, will highlight the integration between robotics, printing and additive manufacturing.
A special conference track is dedicated to the Paperonics project. Between 2019 and 2021, 40 European research centers and companies investigated the future of efficient, affordable and sustainable printing of electronic components directly on paper and plastics. During IPI, they will present the project’s results and demonstrate the first samples including RFID tags for e-logistics, sensors for tamper-proof packaging and temperature threshold indicators.
Next to the high-level technical talks, IPI houses a networking arena of 50 tabletop stands, including 3M, Adphos, Agfa, Arcolor, BASF, Cadis, ChemStream, Covestro, CST, Dataphysics, DICO Electronic, Encres Dubuit, Dr. Hönle, Epta, Fraunhofer IFAM, Fraunhofer IPA, Fujifilm Ink Solutions, Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions, Global Graphics, Global Inkjet Systems, Grünig, Hasselt University, Heraeus, i4inkjet, ImageXpert, Industrial Print Solutions, Integration Technology, Kao Chimigraf, KNF, Kronos, Lambda, Marabu, Meteor Inkjet, Momentive, Notion Systems, Nur Ink, Pall, Phoseon, Quantica, RISE, Saati, Sefar, Seiko, Siegwerk, SignTronic, SPS Technoscreen, Stuttgart Media University, Sun Chemical, Thieme and Trijet.
“Industrial Print Integration features a combination of industrial and functional printing which enables more sustainable and more flexible production processes”, said Peter Buttiens, CEO of ESMA, “New sustainable developments rely e.g. on perovskite photovoltaics or new solid state batteries. OLED technology begins to dominate the world of displays, while the global pandemic extended the need for monitoring sensors and fast diagnostic kits. IPI discusses the technology behind all these developments and shows print beyond its conventional purpose.”
One of the supporters, CST GmbH from the nearby Krefeld invites all conference participants for a factory tour on May 17, 2022.
