It is with profound mournfulness that Palmer Holland announced the passing of employee Matt Walker, 37, on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
"We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a wonderful colleague, an incredible friend, and a beloved member of the Palmer Holland family," the company said.
He was a 10-year veteran of the chemical industry.
Walker joined Palmer Holland as an account manager in September 2015.
His high-energy approach to the industry was driven by the determination to impact his customers' success.
"Walker found a unique way to create a bond with everyone with whom he came in contact with," the company said. "He had an intense passion for the art of sales, which earned him widespread respect as he quickly became a highly sought after teacher."
Before joining Palmer Holland, Walker worked for both ICM Products and KCC Silicone in the chemical sector and UniFirst Corporation and SMC Design Dynamics.
He and his wife, Jamie, have two sons, Kai and Cullen. Walker had a strong focus on family and personal fitness, and he and his sons enjoyed all things Marvel.
"Matt will be greatly missed by everyone at Palmer Holland and by all of his friends throughout the entire chemical industry," the company said.
A GoFundMe has been set up in his name to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
