Ingevity Corporation released its sustainability report update.
The report update provides new information about Ingevity’s performance towards the sustainability initiatives outlined in its inaugural report, which was published last year.
Outlined in the update are metrics and management practices collected in 2018 for each of the company’s four pillars of sustainability, which are built upon the foundation of integrity and ethical behavior: Protecting People and the Environment; Creating Value for Customers and Society; Engaging Our People; and Driving Business Excellence.
Also, the update features a “What’s New” section, which highlights material developments in 2018, and an index that tracks Ingevity’s reported information with the U.N. Sustainability Goals.
“At Ingevity, we integrate responsible economic, environmental and social principals of sustainability into our business strategy and decision making,” Ingevity president and CEO Michael Wilson said. “Over the last year, we continued to make significant progress related to our sustainability initiative by engaging our employees and continuing to build an enterprise that embraces these tenets. To the degree we can integrate concepts of sustainability into our everyday management practices, we are furthering progress toward reaching our own goals and meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers, suppliers, employees, investors and neighbors.”
The company plans to report on its sustainability journey every two years, with updates in the alternating years.
