The BOBST booth in Hall F at the Labelexpo Americas exhibition, taking place Sept. 25-27, 2018 in Rosemont, IL, USA, will once again be one of the largest and innovative of the show.
The focal point of the show will be the solutions to the challenges in relation to process feasibility and equipment operational efficiency that the market evolution gives to brand owners, suppliers and converters alike in meeting the different requirements of the industry.
These range from increasingly stringent legal requirements through to consumer expectations and the need for original packaging enhancements aimed at product differentiation at point of sales. Challenging applications include production of multi-layered coupons for a variety of food, non-food or pharma products, lamitube, shrink sleeves, security products and the like.
“In an industry where specialties are fast becoming the norm in some label segments where standard products won’t work anymore, converters need to keep their finger on the pulse and rely on a knowledgeable partner that provides them with the technical capabilities to solve even the toughest challenges,” said Matteo Cardinotti, managing director of Bobst Firenze and head of BOBST Narrow & Mid-Web multi-process product line.
How BOBST succeeds in doing that will be evident in the different machine demonstrations that will follow one another at short intervals throughout the day. They will be run on two production lines:
• The M6 inline Digital Flexo line will spotlight the advantages of the unique Digital Flexo and Digital Automation workflow technology, including the REVO 7-color extended gamut printing.
• The M1 inline flexo press in its latest IoT configuration, is the first mechanical shaft connected label press in the industry and brings the benefits offered by connectivity.
Mouvent – the digital printing competence center of the Bobst Group – will also be at the BOBST booth during the exhibition, displaying the technology behind its range of innovative digital UV and water-based label printers. Attendees will have the opportunity to take a close-up look at the Mouvent Cluster, a new approach, which uses compact and lightweight clusters instead of fixed size print bars by color, arranging them in a modular, scalable matrix. The result is one system that can be simply adapted for all substrates, of all widths, for all markets.
