The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has awarded Howard Vreeland, chairman and CEO of Anderson & Vreeland, its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his lifelong commitment to serving the flexographic industry and for his leadership role as FTA board chair.
“It is a tremendous honor and privilege to be given this award. The FTA is growing even as other industry associations are shrinking because the FTA continues to re-invent itself to help its members succeed,” said Vreeland. “The FTA’s growth has been driven by continuous education in our marketplace and through ongoing educational opportunities for the employees of member companies.”
Anderson & Vreeland has been associated with the FTA for more than 55 years. In that time the flexographic industry has gone from the analog business of putting marks on substrates to enabling digital high definition printing on nearly any material.
“The technologies of label and package printing continue to change and FTA is always on the leading edge,” said Vreeland. “We at Anderson and Vreeland, and our colleagues and partners at FTA, are continually moving forward and finding new ways to help ensure flexographic printers always keep pace with the steady advance of technology.”
