International plastics processor ALPLA is adding two new U.S. sites in Salt Lake City, Utah and Bethlehem, Penn.
The company already has 14 existing locations and 1,200 employees.
ALPLA invested $8 million into the Salt Lake City site, which is located in the Meridian Commerce Center.
A team of 40 people will produce plastic packaging for existing and new customers in the 11,100 m² production facility. Production is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2018.
Meanwhile, ALPLA invested approximately $15 million into the Pennsylvania location, which is roughly 15,000 m² in size and located in the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park.
The company said it will add 59 new jobs.
The production of packaging solutions for customers from industries including food, household care and cosmetics will commence in the fall.
