Stora Enso has appointed Seppo Parvi, 49, as its new chief financial officer. He is currently chief financial officer and executive vice president, Food and Medical Business Area, at Ahlstrom Corporation.
Parvi has several years of CFO and business management experience from the pulp, paper and packaging industry. Prior to joining Ahlstrom, he was CFO for Metsä Board (M-real), and before that worked for more than 10 years in various line management positions at the packaging company Huhtamäki, including responsibilities such as paper manufacturing within Rigid Packaging Europe and general manager for Turkey.
“Seppo Parvi has great experience in developing, leading and reshaping large international organisations. His current business responsibilities cover markets such as India and China, which are also important growth markets for Stora Enso. I am absolutely delighted that Seppo Parvi is joining our Group Leadership Team,” said Stora Enso CEO Jouko Karvinen.
Parvi will join Stora Enso at the latest during the first quarter of 2014.
