This year’s Siegwerk Coldset Forum in Kassel attracted a lot of participants on March 11-12, 2012. Appproximately 30 technical executives, works managers and printing company managers from Germany and the Netherlands took the opportunity to exchange views and experiences on technical topics pertaining to coldset printing.
After getting to know each other, the participants first visited the newspaper printers Dierichs to see press proofing there. The company prints the Hessische Niedersächsische Allgemeine Zeitung – 260,000 copies per day. Items discussed on the following day included staff issues and shift-work models, new technologies and especially quality in newspaper printing.
“Our guests like the approach of being able to determine the topics of workshops and discussion rounds themselves,” said Klemens Peters, manager technical service web offset at Siegwerk, who organized the event.
