On Jan. 1, 2010, the National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA/FSCT) changed its name to the American Coatings Association (ACA). The change marks the culmination of the merger between the NPCA and the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT), which was finalized in 2009. The NPCA/FSCT Board of Directors approved the identity change in October.
In addition, all current NPCA/FSCT operations in Plymouth Meeting, PA will be transferred to the Washington, DC headquarters as of Jan. 1.
The organization has also adopted a new logo, reminiscent of the color wheel. The image is intended to evoke the organization’s combined mission and bring to mind the science involved in manufacturing, research and development of industry’s products, as well as the products themselves.
