Sun Chemical has named Myron Petruch president, Performance Pigments.
Mr. Petruch joins Performance Pigments during a time when there has been enormous growth in the business. The organization recently expanded its product line to include broad range of effect pigments, including the new SunPRIZMA effect product line and SunMetallics® aluminum metallic pigments.
Mr. Petruch, who will oversee all of Sun Chemical’s global Performance Pigments business, joins Sun Chemical from BASF where he was responsible for their pigment and additives business for coatings. He also held a variety of management positions in Engelhard before it was acquired by BASF, including full profit and loss responsibilities for its global colors business and global absorbents/chemical catalysts business.
“Myron brings extensive relevant industry, product and market experience to our company,” said Rudi Lenz, CEO, Sun Chemical. “Our Performance Pigments business has grown steadily over the years by focusing on the individual needs and requests of each of our customers. I am confident that under Myron’s leadership, we will continue to see growth and more satisfied customers.”
Mr. Petruch holds a master’s degree in business administration specializing in finance and international business from Seton Hall University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
