president/chief operating officer. The appointment was effective July 1, 2007, following approval at the annual Toyo Ink America board meeting.
Mr. Copeland will assume the duties from Fusao Ito, who will continue as director of the board for the company. He will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, but will also provide critical leadership in improving overall team management
and strategic planning. In his new role as president, Mr. Copeland aims to build a stronger brand identity and increase market exposure of its products as a key strategy for raising Toyo Ink’s presence in North America.

Mr. Copeland brings nearly 30 years experience in the printing industry to his new position at the helm of Toyo Ink America. He joined the company in 2003 as vice president of operations and was promoted to executive vice president/chief operating officer in
Prior to joining Toyo Ink, Mr. Copeland served in a variety of posts with Handschy Industries in Chicago for nearly 11 years, the most recent of which was technical director of paste inks. Previously, his experience spanned positions in the industry from technical, sales and manufacturing. He is a graduate of Sinclair College, Dayton, OH, with a graphic arts technology degree.
