Sartomer increased the prices of its acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers effective Dec. 1, or as contracts allow. Increases will vary by product, and will range from 5 to 8 percent.
According to Paul Elias, Sartomer’s business director of specialty products, the price increase is due to the continued escalation of raw material costs.
In addition, Sartomer has increased the list prices of its Norsolene W-Series (alpha methyl styrene) hydrocarbon resins by $0.15 per pound, primarily due to rapidly rising raw material and energy costs.
Effective Dec. 1, Sartomer will also increase the list prices of its Norsolene A-Series (C9/C5 resins) and S-Series (C9 resins) hydrocarbon resins by $0.05/lb.
