Published September 12, 2005
Eastman Chemical Company’s Accurate Dispersions division has received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification by Quality Management Institute (QMI), an independent, third-party registrar. The Quality Management Principles of ISO 9001:2000 reinforce Accurate’s commitment to providing the highest quality products and services.

“Accurate Dispersions has always offered our customers unparalleled quality, product purity and consistency, and prompt, responsive customer service,” said James Valukas, general manager and founder of Accurate Dispersions. “Having ISO 9001:2000 certification of our quality systems reaffirms our continued commitment to formulating and producing the highest quality custom colorants and dispersions for the industrial and architectural marketplaces.”

Eastman has made a company-wide commitment to quality. By the end of 2003, Eastman expects 24 of its operating units to receive ISO 9001:2000 certification. Until now, only about 7,500 companies in North America have received this certification, compared to the more than 55,000 companies in North America that are certified under the earlier ISO 9000 standards of 1994.

Founded in 1986, Accurate Dispersions has been part of Eastman since 2000.
