Union Colours Limited UK, a division of the Longyu Pigments and Chemicals Corporation of China, the largest independent manufacturer of organic pigments in China, has entered into a strategic alliance with Rolfes Color Pigments International (RCPI) to manufacture organic pigments at its facility in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The alliance details Union Colours designing new product technologies to be manufactured at RCPI for sale by Union Colours to their international client base. The first new technologies were transferred to the plant in August.
“We are delighted with the new alliance,” Phillip Myles, operations director of Union Colours, said. “It gives us the opportunity to widen our product range with specialized products that complement the range we are building with our colleagues in China.”
