The Printing business accounted for $18.9 billion, or 30% of HP’s business, with the Personal System division the remaining 70%. “We had a solid end to our fiscal year despite navigating a volatile macro-environment and softening demand in the second half. In Q4 we delivered on our non-GAAP EPS target, while also completing our three-year value creation plan and exceeding our key metrics,” said Enrique Lores, HP president and CEO.
With market-leading positions in the home and home office market, narrow web and label (HP Indigo), corrugated (HP PageWide), large format (HP PageWide XL) and specialty printing systems, including HP Stitch (textiles) and HP Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) technology, HP is the industry leader in digital printing. HP Indigo alone passed the 2,000 active presses mark earlier this year. HP develops its own inks, most of which are water-based, and produces some of its inks.
