The Metro New York Printing Ink Association (MNYPIA) held its Fifth Annual John Rutledge Memorial Golf Outing on Aug. 17, 2022 at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, NJ. The club had a record turnout for the event, which brought together the industry for golf, friendship and also to remember the efforts of Rutledge, who ran the tournament and served as club president for many years prior to his passing.
“We had a wonderful day and a record crowd,” said Chris Allen of Sun Chemical, who serves as MNYPIA’s golf committee chair. “In addition to playing golf together, we also celebrate the life of John Rutledge, and his dedication ot the industry and the Metro New York Ink Association."
“It's really wonderful that we could all gather and remember John Rutledge,” said MNYPIA president Dan Shevkun of Superior Printing Ink. “Great accolades to Chris Allen, who has made this tournament even bigger and better."
"I want to thank everyone for honoring John," added Phil Befumo, president of United Mineral and Chemical, where Rutledge spent part of his career. "He was in the ink industry his whole career, and would help anyone. Thanks for keeping his memory alive."
