A gap in the market for cost efficient, responsive, and agile production of 100% polyester garments has been closed by the RICOH Ri 4000 Direct to Garment printer. The RICOH Ri 4000 DTG printer addresses a market gap for cost efficient high quality 100% polyester print production.
Developed to print vibrant colors on polyester with unmatched durability, the latest addition to Ricoh’s fast-growing portfolio of DTG and Direct To Film systems will redefine the world of custom apparel and textile printing.
The industrial garment printer will enable specialists to respond quickly and creatively to end user demand for affordable short runs and customized polyester sportswear perfect for teams and hobbyists.
Central to its performance capability is Ricoh’s new built in enhancer (pre-treatment) solution, which is jetted inside the printer, only when required. It eliminates the need for an additional pre-treatment process and the inconsistent quality of manual pre-treatment to ensure elevated work efficiency.
The RICOH Ri 4000 also runs newly developed Ricoh inks resulting in vivid and longlasting prints that maintain their brilliance through numerous washes.
The ability to produce prints with an incredibly soft feel offers another level of appeal to a wide range of industries and markets that include apparel manufacturers, sports teams, athletes, promotional product companies, fashion designers, advertising agencies, and e-commerce operations.
“We are excited to revolutionize the textile printing landscape and set new standards for excellence with the RICOH Ri 4000,” said Axel Stuhlreiter, head of textile solutions, Graphic Communications Group, Ricoh Europe. “While polyester’s versatility and performance attributes make it a popular fabric in sportswear, it is infamous for the challenges it presents when it comes to high quality printing and durability. The Ri 4000 eliminates these obstacles. It opens a world of exciting opportunities for apparel decorators, designers, and a wide range of businesses aiming to expand their product line.”
The RICOH Ri 4000 will be launched in Europe at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 RAI Amsterdam from March 19-22, 2024, and is available immediately.
