Sakata INX Corporation announces that it has submitted a commitment letter to SBT initiatives (SBTi), an organization accrediting Science Based Targets (SBT *1), which is greenhouse gas emission reduction targets that are scientifically consistent with the targets set out in the Paris Agreement and aims to obtain an official approval of its target from SBTi within two years.
In its long-term strategic vision, SAKATA INX VISION 2030, Sakata INX has set "Strengthen ESG/sustainability efforts emphasizing the global environment and local community" as the strategic direction, and also "Activities to maintain a sustainable global environment" as one of its key issues.
With the goal of reducing GHG*3 emissions by 50% (compared to 2013) by 2030, Sakata INX is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact and realize a carbon neutral society by promoting production efficiency and expanding energy-saving activities. Through this commitment, Sakata INX will continue to realize a sustainable society and enhance our corporate value, while further promoting sustainability-related initiatives throughout Sakata INX Group.
