Avient Corporation announced the successful completion of the Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001) certification process, achieving compliance globally across 48 Avient sites.
This prestigious certification is the internationally recognized gold standard for environmental, health, safety, and security management systems established by the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care program, reinforcing Avient’s position as a responsible and reliable partner in the industry.
“A growing number of customers and commercial partners seek organizations that prioritize protecting the environment, ensuring the well-being of employees, and safeguarding the communities in which they operate,” said Chad Martinez, senior manager, environmental, health & safety management systems at Avient. “This third-party verification goes beyond compliance; it reflects Avient's dedication to providing improved service, quality standards, and overall confidence and trust that customers place in our company.”
“The participation of 48 facilities worldwide is a testament to the hard work and determination of our personnel to expand our previously held central certifications beyond the U.S. to include our global sites, even in countries where environmental and safety standards may be less stringent,” said Scott Buchanan, vice president, environmental, health & Ssafety at Avient Corporation. "Obtaining the RC14001 certification is unique as it encompasses security, product safety, and transportation elements, setting itself apart from the individual ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.”
Additionally, this certification follows Avient’s recent Gold Rating certification achievement from EcoVadis, a globally renowned sustainability ratings platform, for its dedication to sustainability, ethics, and responsible business practices.
