Sun Chemical will showcase cutting-edge range of digital textile inks at ITMA Asia 2023 from November 19-23.
Following the acquisition of Sensient Imaging Technologies, the company has developed a variety of inks to enhance performance, productivity, and sustainability. In its state-of-the-art ink manufacturing site in Shanghai, Sun Chemical has been manufacturing digital reactive inks since May. This allows Sun Chemical to locally supply the China, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan markets with reduced shipping time and cost.
While at ITMA Asia, Sun Chemical will showcase Xennia Amethyst Evo RC Ink, ElvaJet Sublimation Inks, Next Generation Pigment Inks, and the ElvaJet SR342.
The Xennia Amethyst Eco RC Ink is a new reactive printing ink in the Xennia Amethyst series. For industrial textile printers, the ink is specially formulated to enhance production to achieve high-volume targets in the home and fashion textile industries. The formula is designed to improve color efficiency and strength and optimize color balance for advanced sample matching and color management. Xennia Amethyst Eco RC has been listed as ZDHC Level 3 and received the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification and Eco-Passport (from OEKO TEX).
Sun Chemical will showcase its ElvaJet Sublimation Inks that support Kyocera printheads, ElvaJet Topaz SC, ElvaJet Opal SB, and Epson technology. This ink range offers great color purity, transfer paper compatibility, and on printer performance. It is also listed as ZDHC Level 3 and has a ECO PASSPORT certification from OEKO-TEX.
The company’s next generation pigment inks on display include Xennia Sapphire, which was initially available for higher viscosity printheads. Xennia Sapphire provide enhanced color and fast performance and print stability. Aligning with Sun Chemical’s goals, Xennia Sapphire inks are developed to have low environmental impact with a now-water process, efficient curing and soft hand fell to reduce the use of finishing chemicals.
Launched earlier this year, the ElvaJet SR342 will be on display. it provides the purest color shades and extended color gamut. Based on in house disperse dye dispersions, the ElvaJet SR342 combines the best on printer performance with optimized drying and minimal maintenance requirements.
“ITMA Asia is the ideal place to showcase our latest innovation that address the specific needs and challenges of the Asian textile industry, particularly where reactive inks remain a key focus. We look forward to meeting with existing and potential customers from this region to demonstrate the value that Sun Chemical can bring to their business, all while ensuring product compliance and improving their sustainability credentials,” said business manager Edri Baggi.
Sun Chemical will be located at Stand D04A, Hall H6 at ITMA Asia from November 19-23, 2023.
