Inkcups will showcase seven printing systems including a new digital machine for a new application at the largest promotional products tradeshow: Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo 2023. The event will be held Jan. 10-12, 2023, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Las Vegas, NV
The Inkcups display will feature the Helix ONE, Double Helix featuring ArtPrep, and the X5-T digital printers; the B100 and 2200-PS pad printers; and the CobaltONE laser etching machine.
The Helix ONE is the newest addition to Inkcups’ Helix line of direct-to-object printers. With a compact design, the Helix ONE is a dedicated cylinder printing machine designed to decorate in full CMYKW+V on straight-walled and tapered cylinders. Given its size, the benchtop machine is well suited for small to medium companies looking to expand their business into the drinkware market.
The Helix ONE is ideal for a variety of vessels including plastic bottles, stainless tumblers, glassware, candle holders, and more. The Helix ONE will demonstrate its printing capabilities by printing on acrylic cups.
Recent improvements to the Helix systems will be represented at PPAI by the Double Helix with ColorBoost and Transparent Pin Curing (TPC). ColorBoost increases image quality and decreases print time, enhancing productivity and making it the fastest direct-to-substrate printer in its class.
Additionally, the Double Helix debuts the new appearance of all full-size Helix® machines, featuring a wider frame, wider track and cabinet lights. With a printable area of 8.66 inches in height, the Double Helix can print on two items at a time, up to 12 inches in length with a diameter of 2 to 4.5 inches.
The third digital machine at the booth is the X5-T, a high-performance flatbed that can print a full area of 43.3 inches x 24 inches in two minutes (uni- or bi-directional) for parts up to 20 inches tall. Utilizing the latest in print head technology, the high-throughput X5-T prints CMYK plus two highly opaque UV LED-curable white inks, with an optional varnish for additional visual impact.
