ProAmpac announced for the second consecutive year it has been recognized by The Paper Shipping Sack Manufacturers’ Association (PSSMA) for safety excellence.
Two ProAmpac facilities were recognized for Best Annual Safety Experience - this award recognizes facilities with the lowest total recordable incidence rate in each annual manhour category.
Best Annual Safety Experience
• ProAmpac’s White House, TN facility received the PSSMA 2021 Award with zero incidents for plants in the 150,000 to 230,000 Manhours category.
• ProAmpac’s Rosemount, MN facility received the PSSMA 2021 Award with zero incidents for plants with less than 150,000 Manhours category.
“These awards are a testament to the daily safety culture we promote at ProAmpac. We are boundaryless in our efforts to provide not only peer-to-peer observations, but also leadership training at all levels of the organization,” said Cindy Haven, director of EHS.
At the site level, plant manager Bob Tiepelman said, “Our teams work hard every day to achieve our safety goals and this recognition from PSSMA is a wonderful validation of the effort of every single employee.”
ProAmpac’s growth strategy has culminated in 49 sites globally, with nearly 6,000 employees supplying more than 5,000 customers in 90 countries. Such expansion has been accompanied by increased recognition by, and certifications from industry associations and other authorities, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO); the Global Food Safety Initiative’s SQF and BRC food certifications, as well as other organizations.
