During Flexo and Labels 2022, Sun Chemical will showcase its complete portfolio of solutions for narrow web, tag and label markets, highlighting the sustainability benefits of its latest product and service innovations.
Using the theme “Power of Labels,” visitors will learn about Sun Chemical’s ongoing investments in the region and discover how the company’s commitment to sustainability is fundamental to its innovation and product development.
“We’re looking forward to meeting in person with our customers across Latin America during this important show and demonstrate all that we’ve been doing to meet their printing and sustainability needs,” said Mike Wouters, GM, Sun Chemical Brazil. “We’re also excited to talk about how our wide selection of inks, coatings and adhesives, along with our color management services and in-plant excellence, can meet each customer’s individualized packaging requirements, improve their productivity, and present them with new ideas.”
One example is SunSpectro SolvaWash GR and FL washable/deinkable gravure and flexo-printable solvent-based inks, a solution that enable brand owners to increase the recyclability of their products that use shrink labels. SunSpectro SolvaWash allows for higher quality and yield of recycled PET from bottle recycling streams.
Sun Chemical’s SunBeam range of electron beam–curing inks for printed packaging and labels are solvent-free, eliminating the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and avoiding the need for UV photoinitiators. SunBeam inks also contain 30% bio-based content.
The SunCure FLM series of energy curable inks for primary and secondary food packaging meets migration compliant standards and are not manufactured with Bisphenol A (BPA)-based materials.
Sun Chemical’s SolarVerse highly pigmented, low viscosity, multipurpose UV flexo base concentrates are designed for standard UV flexo dispensers and offer customers significant benefits in terms of cost savings and flexibility. For digital printers, Sun Chemical currently offers SunEvo, coatings and a complementary range of SunJet inkjet inks.
