ASTM International said it canceled its April standards development meetings in Boston (March 29-April 3) and Prague (April 27-30) in light of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and growing safety concerns for members and staff.
The decision was based on several factors, ASTM said, including, but not limited to:
Looking forward, ASTM International said it will rely on these and other relevant criteria and input points to assess the status of ASTM’s future standards development meetings in May (May 10-15) and June (June 28-July 3).

- Continued review of information and recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other governmental bodies;
- Input from ASTM International members whose organizations are increasingly concerned with travel;
- Watching the expanding trajectory of the coronavirus.
