Xeikon will be showcasing the company's largest booth yet (Stand 28, Hall 5C) at Labelexpo Europe – presenting its wide-web, large format labels for the chemical and automotive industries, its latest durable labels for the health & beauty and food & wine sectors, and its dry toner and laminating technologies for flexible packaging and pouches.
The company will also demonstrate its Label Discovery Package for entry-level investments.
Across the show, Xeikon will participate in the Sustainability Insight Café and the Flexible Packaging Arena.
“At this year’s Labelexpo, Xeikon will announce new partnerships, new innovations and new online tools," said Filip Weymans, VP of marketing. "Our new advisory tool ‘Transform’ is already taking our customer service offerings to a different level. Digital label printing has become a mainstream technology with many suppliers, and the wealth of choice now available does not make it easy for label converters to choose what is best for their business.
"At Labelexpo 2019, Xeikon has chosen to demonstrate four different production lines, not only to show the capabilities of digital printing alone but also to highlight the next level of digital print manufacturing, where the digital press can play a crucial part in a mix of processes to ensure a successful business model.”
At its Information Booth in the Sustainability Zone, Xeikon will share its initiatives taken throughout the years to address and inspire others.
Additionally, the company will demonstrate different label and packaging applications that offer sustainable and economically feasible alternatives to commonly used products. Offering paper cup converters potential new business opportunities, Xeikon will demonstrate the next generation of sustainable food packaging safely printed with Xeikon’s dry toner digital technology working with Kotkamills ISLA Duoboard paper cup stock. It will also present their UV dry toner technology, an FDA certified digital label printing solution ideal for labels that have direct or indirect contact with food. The company will also discuss its methodology at its toner plant in Belgium, where natural gas and heat consumption has been reduced, reducing, in turn, CO2 emissions.
Xeikon will showcase its dry toner technology and its solutions for flexible packaging and pouch production with complete food safety compliance. Xeikon will demonstrate its CX500 press combined with an offline laminator, and show the full production process of creating a flexible packaging laminate using digital print.
Xeikon is sponsoring the 2019 Label Awards – a gala event where the industry recognizes companies and individuals for their contribution.
Awards are given for key innovation, product and technical development, and global recognition.
The Flint Group is participating in the 2019 Label Academy master classes and will host a session on inks, coating, curing and lamination.
“Xeikon will exhibit its broad technology portfolio containing a considered range of solutions developed to address today’s current trends as well as the global issues of sustainability, food safety and waste," Weymans said.
